In the end, Chris Bosh wasn’t an All-Star issue

MIAMI – With Thursday’s announcement of All-Star Game reserves, it turned out that Heat center Chris Bosh wasn’t even a talking point among TNT’s analysts.

Instead, the studio crew turned their All-Star thoughts in other directions.

Eastern Conference reserves:

Chris Bosh, Miami Heat

Tyson Chandler, New York Knicks

Joakim Noah, Chicago Bulls

Paul George, Indiana Pacers

Luol Deng, Chicago Bulls

Jrue Holiday, Philadelphia 76ers

Kyrie Irving, Cleveland Cavaliers

Chris Webber on no Brooklyn Nets player making the Eastern Conference All-Star team: “The only Brooklyn Net that deserves to be on the team is Brook Lopez.”

Shaquille O’Neal on New York Knicks guard J.R. Smith: “I’m upset J.R. Smith didn’t make the team. This year, he’s more focused, playing with a lot more energy.”

Charles Barkley on Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah: “I was happy for Noah, he’s my favorite player.”

Barkley on Chicago Bulls forward Luol Deng: “I was surprised Luol Deng made it.”

Kenny Smith on Atlanta Hawks forward Josh Smith: “The only Hawk that would’ve made it was Josh Smith. What he did in the last 10 days negated everything he did in the first 90 [days].”
