Patience with Andersen
Spoelstra said patience remains the key for backup forward/center Chris Andersen. Andersen has seen his minutes increase but still is a work-in-progress.
“I think it will take six to eight weeks before he fully gets his legs under him,” Spoelstra said.
“If that means he plays eight to 12 minutes until then, so be it. He doesn’t save anything. He doesn’t pace himself. He’ll play until his tank is absolutely empty.”
Spoelstra said taking things slow is the reason he did not consider starting Andersen with Chris Bosh out of the lineup.
